I'll be honest — when I first saw the Zeekr 7X at its debut, the design didn't do much for me. It looked fine, nothing more. But after spending three days with the top-spec Performance model, my opinion completely flipped. This is a car that wins you over from behind the wheel, not from across a parking lot.

The green paint on this particular unit grew on me, and the Star Gate LED headlights add a distinctive face. Those 21-inch Continental EContact 7 tires wrapped around wheels with gold-accented Brembo-style calipers? That's a statement.

The proportions are clean and aerodynamic. The door handles are flush-mounted and the cameras positioned around the car give it a sleek, modern look. The full-width LED tail light bar stretches across the rear and looks sharp at night. The electric tailgate opens wide, and the air suspension can lower the car for easier loading.

It's not the most head-turning SUV on the road, and I think that's something potential buyers need to accept. But it has a quiet confidence to it — understated rather than bland.

Interior & Tech

This is where the 7X really earns its keep. The materials are outstanding — soft-touch surfaces everywhere, quality leather, and ambient lighting with intricate patterns that shift and change colour. It genuinely feels a class above. The Harman-branded sound system packs 21 speakers, and the panoramic roof is enormous with an electric sunshade.

I toggled between Standard, Comfort, and Sport modes. Comfort is where this car lives best for daily driving. Sport mode sharpens everything up nicely, but honestly, the performance is more than sufficient even in Standard.

The full suite is here — adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, surround-view cameras, and collision warnings all around. The driver display shows nearby vehicles and obstacles clearly. It's a comprehensive setup that feels genuinely useful rather than gimmicky.

Value for Money

Electric doors, air suspension, 21-inch performance wheels, ventilated and heated seats, a 21-speaker sound system, and a full advanced safety suite — this is equipment you'd typically find on vehicles from segments well above. Compared to what competitors offer at this level, the Zeekr 7X is remarkably well-equipped.

The lower trims skip the air suspension for a conventional setup, and multiple reviewers have said those drive well too. So there's flexibility depending on what matters most to you.

The Zeekr 7X Performance surprised me. It's not the flashiest electric SUV, but it might be one of the most satisfying to live with daily. The ride comfort is exceptional, the power is more than you'll ever need, and the interior quality punches way above expectations.
