Denza Z9 GT Full Electric Review - Thousand Horsepower, Ultra-Fast Charging!
พาส่อง DENZA Z9 GT ไฟฟ้าล้วน แรงระดับพันม้า ชาร์จไวสุดในไทย! | EV Girls
The Denza Z9 GT absolutely shocked me with its brutal acceleration and three-motor setup that delivers genuine supercar performance. If you can handle the intensity and accept the design-focused grand tourer concept, this is genuinely special.
First Impressions
Walking up to the Denza Z9 GT for the first time, you immediately notice this isn't trying to be a sports car—it's a grand tourer with serious attitude. The electric design language is unmistakably BYD's latest generation philosophy: clean, purposeful, and confident without screaming for attention. Five color options are available, and the Force Green on our test unit looked absolutely stunning in daylight. What strikes you most is the restraint—nothing feels overwrought or desperate to justify the electric powertrain. This is a car that knows exactly what it is.
Design and Exterior
The exterior deserves its own deep dive because it's genuinely thoughtful. Up front, the Gran Turismo proportions are immediately obvious—long hood, fastback roofline, and those gorgeous dual-line LED headlights that extend deep into the fender. The Denza logo sits proud in the center, and the overall execution feels cohesive. The side profile is where the elegance really shines: 20-inch wheels wrapped in Continental rubber, sensor-studded bodywork that never looks cluttered, and a character line that runs the entire length without feeling forced.
Out back, the lighting design genuinely impressed me. Each taillight segment is individually detailed with depth and texture, creating real visual interest from different angles. The adaptive rear wing that rises during spirited driving is a nice performance-focused touch, and the 701-kilometer NEDC range capability means the battery packaging never compromises the silhouette. Overall, this is handsome execution—modern, proportion-aware, and restrained enough to age well.
Interior and Technology
Step inside and you're met with a three-screen setup that's both functional and visually striking: 17.3-inch central display, dual 12.3-inch screens for driver and passenger, plus a 9.1-inch streaming rear-view mirror that can toggle to a conventional mirror if you prefer. The integration is seamless, powered entirely by Google services, meaning YouTube, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto all work without compromise.
Materials are genuinely premium throughout. Our red leather interior was impossibly soft, though black variants get Alcantara detailing instead. The flat-bottomed steering wheel adjusts via electric motors in all directions, and the entire cabin is either leather or real wood—no compromises. That said, the interior leans heavily into luxury grand tourer territory rather than performance car dynamics, which creates an interesting tension with the shockingly aggressive powertrain.
Practical features abound: wireless charging at 50W, a refrigerated compartment with separate temperature zones, ambient lighting with ridiculous customization depth, and touchable controls for nearly everything. Even the sunroof splits into two independently operated panels. The 1,500W DC charging capability is genuinely the headline feature here—nowhere in Thailand currently offers that spec, making this car a pioneer of its own infrastructure needs.
Rear Seat Experience
The rear seat deserves special mention because it's genuinely impressive for a performance grand tourer. Three adults fit with actual dignity, thanks to a completely flat floor and real legroom. The rear passengers get their own climate zone with separate temperature control, multiple USB-C ports, a wireless charging pad, and individual sun shades. There's a makeup mirror on both sides, ambient lighting controls, seat heating and cooling, even a massaging function on the seats themselves.
Headroom is adequate rather than generous—anyone taller than 180 cm might feel a slight squeeze thanks to the sloped roofline—but the sheer thoughtfulness of the rear accommodations is stunning. This is genuinely one of the most feature-packed back seats I've experienced in an electric car.
Driving Dynamics and Performance
And here's where the Z9 GT absolutely shocks you: the performance is genuinely otherworldly. Three motors delivering 1,156 horsepower and 1,210 newton-meters of torque across all four wheels creates acceleration that scrambles your brain. Zero to 100 km/h arrives in 2.77 seconds when you activate Boost Mode via the paddle shifter on the right. That's supercar territory, and the sensation is absolutely primal.
But what surprised me more was how the chassis handles it. The steering is weighted beautifully—responsive without being twitchy—and corner entry is genuinely composed. Yes, there's body roll, but it's controlled and progressive. The suspension walks a tightrope between sport and comfort perfectly: firm enough to telegraph what's happening beneath you, yet supple enough that broken pavement doesn't bruise. The all-wheel drive system with independent rear motors provides genuine traction in all conditions.
The adaptive rear wing automatically deploys during aggressive driving, and you can feel the car reward you for pushing. Parking Assist actually works flawlessly—the E3 system autonomously handles parallel parks and reverse maneuvers with impressive precision. My only caveat: in city driving, that overwhelming acceleration might actually feel uncomfortable. This isn't a car for timid drivers.
Value and Features
Objectively, the Denza Z9 GT is stacked with capability. That 122.5-kilowatt-hour battery with 1,500W DC charging, 11kW AC charging, and 4kW output via V2L is genuinely class-leading. The multi-screen interior, autonomous parking, premium materials, three-motor AWD setup, and integrated Google services ecosystem represent serious value. The camera systems front and rear provide 360-degree coverage with multiple viewing angles, and the onboard recording system eliminates the need for aftermarket dash cams.
Final Verdict
The Denza Z9 GT is one of the most interesting electric cars to arrive in Thailand in recent memory. It's a grand tourer that absolutely refuses to play it safe with performance, a luxury car that doesn't compromise on everyday usability, and a showcase of what BYD's engineering can accomplish when given genuine resources. If you can tolerate—or better yet, love—nuclear acceleration wrapped in refined manners, this deserves serious audition. Just be aware you're not buying a track car. You're buying a supercar for the road.
