XPeng L03 SUV Sport Preview - Full Interior and Exterior Walkthrough

พรีวิวจัดเต็ม XPENG L03 SUV สปอร์ตล้ำ เริ่ม 8.99 แสน | EV Girls

The XPeng L03 is a sharp-looking compact electric SUV with impressive interior packaging and thoughtful design details throughout. I haven't driven it yet, but the build quality and feature set feel genuinely premium for what appears to be a competitive segment.

First Impressions

The XPeng L03 walks the line between sport and practicality with confidence. It's styled aggressively without looking overwrought—the sloped grille up front gives it presence, and that long fastback silhouette reads as modern without sacrificing function. I was struck immediately by how complete the design feels, from the tiny details like active grille shutters to the aerodynamic channels running through the bodywork. This is a car that sweats the small stuff, and it shows.

The exterior proportions are generous. Standing next to it, the L03 feels substantial without being ungainly. Those 18-inch wheels on the base trim (20-inchers available on higher specs) fill the arches nicely, and the paint and panel gaps suggest solid assembly quality.

Design and Details

What really impresses is how much thought has gone into the surfaces and shut lines. The front lighting is genuinely striking—that angular daytime running light design has real character. The side profile is where the design really sings: a sharp character line runs from the front fender all the way back, creating visual tension that makes the car feel athletic even when standing still.

The rear is equally purposeful. Rather than a simple LED strip, the taillights feature segmented elements that look modern without feeling overdone. That pronounced rear haunches echo the front's aggression. The diffuser-like aerodynamic section below the rear glass does real work—XPeng claims a genuinely low drag coefficient of just 0.22. Whether that translates to noticeably better range, only extended driving will tell, but the commitment to efficiency details is refreshing.

Interior Architecture

Step inside and the L03 abandons any pretense of budget-conscious minimalism. Everything is light gray with clean, horizontal lines. The steering wheel is angular rather than round—honest, purposeful, modern. That 15.6-inch central display dominates the dashboard, but it's well integrated rather than bolted-on feeling.

What genuinely struck me is how XPeng has solved the everyday storage puzzle. There's a deep shelf beneath the seats with drawers—I could fit shoes in there without issue. The center console offers wireless charging and standard USB-C ports. Upper trims add a second wireless charging pad. Magnetic strips throughout allow mounting accessories. It's the kind of thoughtful problem-solving that makes daily life easier. The rear passengers get their own USB-C, dual-zone climate control, and a genuinely spacious footwell thanks to a completely flat floor.

Technology and Features

The L03 comes with three Turing AI chips distributed throughout. Two handle autonomous driving features (steering assist, lane changing, intelligent parking), while the third sits under the dashboard—available only on the top trim. That tier gets more advanced driver aids, like semi-autonomous reversing and app-based vehicle commands. It's a shame this tech isn't available lower down, but it does create clear trim differentiation.

The audio system gets the treatment: 11 speakers on the base model, jumping to 20 on higher trims tuned by Xpeng Opera. That's legitimately premium territory. The Panoramic glass roof is generous—nearly full length—though there's no motorized sunshade included, which might concern those in intense sun climates. The rear seats recline in two fixed positions, offering some adjustment but not infinite flexibility.

Practicality and Space

Rear passenger space is genuinely impressive for a compact electric SUV. The wide rear door opens generously, and once inside, there's loads of knee and elbow room. The seats are soft without being mushy, and they extend far enough to support your thighs properly. Headroom is adequate unless you're over 180 centimeters tall, in which case you'll touch the glass on the highest adjustment.

The trunk features a split 40/20/40 rear seat configuration that folds flat—though with a slight height step when extended. There's enough storage here for family duties, with tie-down loops and a 12-volt outlet for accessories. Underfloor storage in the trunk is divided, but only the driver's side actually opens. Overall, the packaging is thoughtful and mature.

Batteries and Charging

Three battery options ship to Thailand: a 58.3 kWh base pack, and two 71.2 kWh variants (standard and Ultra trims). All use 400-volt architecture—not the faster 800-volt found in some competitors. DC charging tops out at either 193 kilowatts or 236 kilowatts depending on trim, which is respectable without being class-leading. It's worth waiting for a full range test under real-world conditions before assessing whether these figures translate to practical day-to-day convenience.

Verdict

The L03 feels like a car that doesn't cut corners on things that matter. Yes, some features are reserved for the top trim, but what's standard across the range is genuinely impressive. The design is confident, the interior is thoughtfully executed, and the feature set punches above its apparent price point.

I'm genuinely curious to drive it properly and see whether the refined interior translates to a refined driving experience. Based on this walkaround, it's a car worth taking seriously.

Pros

  • Sleek exterior design with aggressive styling
  • Excellent interior storage and clever compartments under seats
  • Spacious rear legroom and wide rear seating
  • Premium sound system with 20 speakers in upper trims
  • Smooth electric power tailgate and glass roof
  • Thoughtful details like wireless phone charging and USB-C throughout

Cons

  • No privacy shade on panoramic glass roof
  • Rear seat only inclines at two fixed angles
  • Single-layer tempered glass on rear windows
  • Rear legroom tight for very tall passengers over 180cm
  • Battery only 400V, not faster 800V architecture

Verdict

7.5/10

The L03 is a compelling option if you want a modern, well-designed electric SUV with genuine attention to interior detail. Wait for the full road test before committing, but the package looks genuinely thoughtful.
