I'm genuinely impressed by the ES90 Ultra. It's packed with luxury features, feels beautifully built, and the spec sheet reads like something from a segment above. I can't wait to actually drive it.
Driving Experience
Haven't driven it yet. The air suspension on all four corners, 338 horsepower single motor, and 800V architecture all promise a refined and capable drive that I'm eager to test.
Pros
- 800V architecture with 350kW DC fast charging
- Air suspension on all four corners
- Exceptionally spacious rear seats with electric adjustment
- Soft-close doors and massage seats up front
- Panoramic roof with electronic tint control
- 360-degree cameras and full driver assist suite
- Bowers & Wilkins sound system
- Premium build quality throughout
Cons
- Rear side windows feel a bit narrow and cramped
- No storage pocket behind rear seats for passengers
- Single motor only, no dual motor option
- Massive 22-inch tyres will be expensive to replace
- Haven't been able to test driving dynamics yet
Value for Money
You get air suspension, massage seats, soft-close doors, electronic roof tinting, and a full driver assist package all as standard. Competitors in this segment often charge extra for features that come included here.
Verdict
The ES90 Ultra is a seriously compelling luxury EV that should worry established D-segment rivals. If the driving experience matches the impressive spec sheet and build quality, this could be a segment leader.

Volvo ES90 EV!!ภายในกว้างสุดในตลาด นั่งหลังแบบคุณชาย เน้นสบาย ไม่ชอบสปอร์ต แต่แรง แบตฯ 92 kWh 800V

TH
The Volvo ES90 is a supremely comfortable executive sedan that prioritizes rear-seat luxury over sportiness. I loved the ride comfort and interior quality, but wished the suspension had a bit more firmness and the panoramic roof came with a proper sunshade.
Driving Experience
The ES90 drives smooth and composed, with a plush air suspension that soaks up bumps beautifully but leans soft even in firm mode. Steering is pleasant and weighted but never sporty — this is a car that wants to cruise, not carve corners. Power delivery is instant and more than adequate despite the relaxed character.
Pros
- Rear seat is enormously spacious and supremely comfortable
- Air suspension delivers a plush, sofa-like ride
- Bowers & Wilkins 25-speaker sound system is outstanding
- 800V architecture with fast charging capability
- Full suite of driver assistance features
- 360-degree camera is sharp and clear
- Build quality and interior materials feel premium
- Digital key via smartphone included
Cons
- Panoramic roof lets in too much heat without a proper sunshade
- Rear visibility through the fastback glass is very poor
- Suspension feels too soft at higher speeds causing body roll
- No sport driving mode available
- Real-world range falls short of official claims
- 22-inch wheels increase energy consumption significantly
- Rear seating position forces a reclined posture that may not suit everyone
- Rear air conditioning vents could be more powerful
Value for Money
You get an impressive package here — air suspension, 800V fast charging, Bowers & Wilkins audio, digital key, and a full driver assistance suite all as standard. Against the BMW i5 in this segment, it offers a distinctly different but equally compelling proposition with superior rear-seat comfort.
Verdict
If you want a plush, quiet executive sedan for being chauffeured or cruising comfortably, the ES90 is one of the best in its class. If you crave sporty handling and driver engagement, look elsewhere — this is unashamedly a comfort-first machine.
