The suspension is firm and composed without being harsh — bumps settle in one or two rebounds, which is better than most competitors I've driven in this segment. Power delivery is effortless even in Eco mode, and Sport mode pins you back in the seat with 4.5-second 0-100 acceleration.

If you want a performance-oriented electric SUV with a well-tuned chassis and loads of features, the Sealion 7 AWD Performance should be near the top of your list. Just make sure you test drive the specific trim you're buying since the two variants ride differently.

Driving Experience

At city and highway speeds up to around 110-120 km/h, the Sealion 7 rides smooth, firm, and composed with excellent acceleration. Push beyond 150 km/h and it starts to float, the steering lacks sharpness for a car this powerful, and the brakes feel too soft for the available performance.

The Sealion 7 is best enjoyed as a plush family SUV with rocket-ship straight-line speed rather than a sporty driver's car. If you want daily comfort, excellent range, and a premium cabin, this delivers, but skip the AWD version unless you truly need the extra traction.

The Sealion 7 rides soft and comfortable at normal speeds, soaking up bumps nicely. At higher speeds though, the body rolls noticeably during lane changes and the suspension gets bouncy over rough patches, completely contradicting its sporty exterior.

The Sealion 7 is a fantastic family cruiser disguised as a sporty coupe SUV. If you want comfort and space over sharp handling, this is your car, but thrill-seekers should look elsewhere.
